The recent report of the u.s. Congress about Huawei and ZTE, two Chinese telecommunications giants, drag again innocent external institutions to u.s. domestic politics.
Published on 8 October, the Intelligence Committee of the House of representatives a report stating that: "Huawei and ZTE are not trusted to be free of foreign State influence and thus a security threat to the United States and our systems." The report goes on to recommend that US regulators to block mergers and acquisitions by Huawei and ZTE in the US and that u.s. Government computer systems are not recorded there parts of the two companies, because that could form an espionage risk.
Anyone with common sense will agree with Huawei spokesman, who called the allegations "dangerous political distractions" and realize that the allegations and recommendations in the report are unreasonable and unjustifiable.
The accusation that the two Chinese companies pose a threat to the United States is based on the assertion that they cannot be trusted with a subjective judgement free state influence, no credible evidence to support it. From a so-called intelligence Panel, this is not very intelligent at all, since the u.s. Government has openly and repeatedly acknowledged China as a partner rather than an enemy. It is impossible for every company in the world to sate influence, including US companies are completely free, does that make them all a security threat to the US?
There are many u.s. companies operating in China, which is very strong ties with the u.s. Government, such as Boeing and Motorola, have the Chinese Government has never called for the exclusion of these businesses from the Chinese market. In fact, the Chinese authorities have tried their best to their activities.
The two Chinese companies which alleged constitute a security threat to the USA, active in about 150 countries and welcome and respected partners without any problems.
OUR politicians are irresponsible and unfair accusations against China and Chinese companies for a long time, intentionally ignoring the facts and an arrogant and hypocritical way to behave. In an attempt to draw the attention of their own fault in causing the USA to ' economic malaise, they accuse the Chinese Government and Chinese companies for the loss of u.s. jobs, while opposing Chinese investment that would contribute to the creation of jobs for Americans. They complain about the trade imbalance between the u.s. and China, but they refuse to buy products that Chinese companies want to sell. They lecture others on free trade and non-interference by the Government, while repeatedly endorse the opposite.
China is an emerging power, and the fact that some us politicians fear it can grow strong enough to meet the challenge of the global supremacy of the USA. But must motivate that these politicians to exploit the misplaced feelings of some of the American people and the risk of adverse effects on China-us economic relations and mutually beneficial international trade environment harmful?
In fact, the politicians must know that their actions can backfire and harm the US ' national interests. Huawei spokesman warns that the report "reckless threatens American jobs and innovation, and does nothing to protect national security". But maybe the politicians don't care, and they are only interested in their own short-term political gain.
The report states that: "China has the resources, the opportunity and the motive telecommunications companies for malicious purposes." But such baseless statements are be used maliciously by us politicians for their own purposes. This latest report comes in the middle of the end game in the campaign for the US presidential elections in which China has been used as a scapegoat for the US ' economic woes and each candidate has tried to show it will China the hardest bash if elected. Without hesitation, they have their partisan interests above the interests of the American nation and their people.
Still, the two parties have so much to gain from cooperation with each other. And, in fact, the leaders and the people of China and the u.s. are working hard to develop a constructive relationship jointly exploring ways to build a new type of State-to-state relationship with win-win results. This, however, requires mutual respect, mutual accommodation and healthy competition. Unfortunately and unfortunately undermines this tendentious report all of these.
