Staying true to the titular theme, turning the paintings around the lived experience of the artist of his stay in different parts of the world. In a sense they are a Visual commentary on the different human societies that he come across, but with a style that clearly Russian. They touch on universal topics including home, family and elements of nature, among others.

But perhaps the most interesting aspect of the Pridanov collection currently on display is how they bring on the canvas the Russian fascination with cats. Several paintings revolve around the image of the cat. In the magic of the night and the night walk, for example, he uses gold and silver linings with bright yellow colors to shade the cat's eyes.

Many of the paintings rely on vivid colors, although there is an undeniable predominance of blue, in multiple colors, in the entire series. And the hodge-podge splashes of bright colors come together to create patterns fantastic in his painting. In what appears to be its liberal use of paint-scooped and pasted on the canvas with a spatula instead of a paint brush-the images acquire a 3D effect, with added levity. The colors and technology together to create a quirky, cheerful look that these work a beautiful ensemble of illustrations for a children's book by would make.
